The Eagle soared through the sky,
Searching for untold injustice and flying higher ever in search of freedom,
But a toll must be paid for every dropping she laid,
the skulls of the defeated and the bones of the wicked make up her nest,
No children left to sow and no color left to her chest.

She has seen conquerors come and go,
Usurpers and terrorists and all the like,
but her favorite was the dragon.

From a misty valley far away,
from the strength of the people and iron of the land,
from despotism and tyranny, from anarchy and blasphemy,
Now a massive beast.

Sowed from greatness, and stitched by nations,
This thing does intimidate all,
except its supposed master.

For in the dark of the world,
Hidden behind any and all doors,
the Eagle did pay her toll.

The soul of her people, of her children none the less,
Was so easily sold to the dragon, only to make trinkets for her nest.

Today she sits ragged yet rich, her crown of gold now sun bathed silver, no grandchildren at her nest.
The beast of the east her own creation, for she thought to be its master.

The people cry and they do die, and she tries to fight her best.
But this beast from the east, of men and iron, will surely win this test.

So sell your soul and all you own, but know it wont be long,
Those you mind to master wont be chained for very long.
